1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using jpvisa.keydrop.net ("the Site"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

2. Informational purpose only — not legal or immigration advice

The information provided on the Site is for general informational purposes only. It is not, and must not be relied upon as, legal advice, immigration advice, or a substitute for services provided by a licensed immigration consultant, solicitor, attorney, or administrative scrivener (gyōsei-shoshi).

The Site operator is not a government agency, law firm, or licensed immigration professional and has no authority to decide, grant, or deny visas of any kind.

For any binding information regarding your personal circumstances, you must consult the Japanese embassy or consulate-general with jurisdiction over your place of residence, or a qualified professional.

3. No warranty of accuracy or completeness

Visa regulations, document requirements, application fees, and processing times change frequently and without notice. While we aggregate information from public Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Immigration Services Agency sources with automated daily checks, we do not warrant that the information on the Site is accurate, current, complete, or free from errors.

The Site is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

4. User responsibility

You are solely responsible for verifying all visa requirements with the official Japanese embassy or consulate before you travel. We strongly recommend doing so sufficiently in advance of any planned travel.

You acknowledge that relying on information from the Site without such verification is entirely at your own risk.

5. Limitation of liability

Except in cases of willful misconduct or gross negligence on the part of the Site operator, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Site operator, its affiliates, licensors, and contributors shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use the Site — including without limitation damages for lost travel, denied boarding, refused entry, deportation, visa denial, lost business, loss of profits, loss of data, or any other loss — whether based on contract, tort (including negligence), strict liability, or any other legal theory, even if the operator has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law (including mandatory consumer-protection law). Where such law does not permit the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of certain damages, our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

6. Advertising and third-party links

The Site displays advertising served by Google AdSense and may contain links to third-party websites. Such advertisements and links are provided for convenience only and do not constitute an endorsement by the Site operator.

The Site operator has no control over, and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy practices, products, or services of third-party websites or advertisers. Your interactions with advertisers or linked sites are solely between you and such third parties.

7. Prohibited conduct

You agree not to (a) scrape, crawl, or systematically copy Site content in a manner that degrades service or violates applicable law; (b) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any portion of the Site or its underlying systems; (c) use the Site to transmit malware or unlawful content; or (d) misrepresent information from the Site as originating from a government or official source.

8. Intellectual property

The Site design, layout, text (excluding quoted government data), code, and graphics are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may view and print pages for personal, non-commercial use. Any other reproduction, distribution, or derivative use requires prior written permission.

Government data referenced on the Site (e.g. visa exemption lists published by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan) remains the property of its respective source.

9. Changes to the Site and Terms

The Site operator may modify, suspend, or discontinue the Site, in whole or in part, at any time without notice.

These Terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of the Site after such changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

10. Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan, without regard to its conflict-of-law provisions. Nothing in this section overrides mandatory protections available to consumers under the law of their place of habitual residence.

Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms or the Site shall be submitted to the Tokyo District Court or, at the option of a user acting as a consumer, the court having statutory jurisdiction over the consumer's place of residence, as the agreed court of first instance.

11. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
